The day I got back from NYC
Sunday, November 13. 2005

I went to New York from the 8th to the 13th. The 9th and 10th were for business, the rest of the time was play. It was fantastic. I flew into the city about 14 hours behind schedule because of a missed flight. I took the E into manhattan from JFK and met up with Bird who had been there for a few hours. I stayed at the Roosevelt courtesy of work. The place sucks, tiny room for $260 a night (discounted from $420). I was there for the WebSideStory conference. It was informative enough, I thought it was interesting that google released there free analytics package the day after I got back... Anyway, I met up with a bunch of freinds around the city, and I think the Bird found his new home. For the a play by play and some great maps read on.

Life is a rolling... perhaps a little too quickly
Monday, October 17. 2005
Holy F, it's been busy lately. Life being it of course. The main contributer has been work, but I've been all over the place lately. I was in Chicago & Michigan the first weekend of this month, and last weekend was Mexico. Pictures of both will be posted in Flickr soon enough. I was actually pretty close to not having my Mexico trip because of work. It was a debauchel (not a word, don't care) this past Friday. We have a huge meeting tomorrow and all the crap leading up to it has been a suck. I won't go into detail. This posting is about thought and reflection (as the picture suggests). So let's have it.

San Francisco
Monday, September 19. 2005
Ok, this post is fast and short... like my fingernails. I don't know what that means... Well, since I basically brought flickr into the blog on my last post, I've decided to take you to flickr on this one. Last week I went to San Francisco on business. It turns out that business travel is not as much like a vacation as I had dreamed. I was still able to take some decent pictures so check them out.

A pair of random weekends
Sunday, August 7. 2005
It all started at the end of July. Adam and I went to see a play on friday night in Balboa Park at The Old Globe theatre. It was a great show. Dan Castellaneta, the guy that does homer's voice played the main character in Moonlight to Magnolia. Anyway, during the intermission we met a woman named Zura. She was studying at the theatre and wanted to get away, so we arranged to have a drink after the show. We went to a wine bar and mentioned the fact that we had to take a buddy to the airport at 5:45 in the AM. She offered to have Adam and I pull an all nighter at her flat in Hillcrest. We took her up, and now we have a mediocre story to tell. Oh, but wait it doesn't end there...

Holy F, almost a month... the explanation
Thursday, July 7. 2005
Wow, so shortly after my last post I set off for Iowa on route to Michigan for Nascar. The trip was great. Too short, and too long all at once. I've used 7 of my 10 days of vacation in the first month of working at H2H. I just posted pictures from the weekend on Flickr. Check them out.
Anyway, I came back from the race to find out that my car had been broken into. The douche bags took half of my drum set (a terrible half at that, they left my cymbals, bass drum, and brand new seat). They also made off with my check book. They managed to spend $1000. Thank you Bank of America for fraud protection. Well, I got a new drum kit and checking account, but no ISP...

The goings on
Tuesday, May 31. 2005
No posts = lotta stuff going on. I was ready to pack up and leave, when an opportunity presented itself. Helmets to Hardhats gave me a job offer, and I took it. The job came out of the blue. I had applied for it about two months ago, and they called me in for an interview three weeks ago. The interview was laid back, and I was very much myself. One interview led to another and now I'm a working man. My roommate David left and now all I have is Adam. We are currently looking for an apartment, with a week and a half to go, before we are on the street.

Spencer Iowa is the best place to live in 2005
Monday, May 2. 2005
A friend recently told me that she heard a report on the radio about Spencer Iowa being the greatest place to live in 2005. After further research, it turns out it is. Of course that is according to Relocate-America.com. Judging from their website they may not be the greatest resource. AOL Real Estate has an article about it, it looks far more credible. This news has come at a great time for me, as I am considering a move from the s$#*hole that is San Diego to a far better place...

General update
Thursday, March 31. 2005
The blogging continues. It's nearly been two weeks since conception. The posting frequency is slowing a little. I hope to have atleast one post every other day. Life out here has been pretty wierd lately. With the start of self employment and 5 guests camping out at our place, it's been different...

Just applied to Google... perhaps they're reading this
Monday, March 28. 2005
I was perusing the web as I enjoy a glass of mid-grade scotch on this boring Monday evening. Somehow I ended up on a page about working at Google. Well, I decided to submit the old app, as things are pretty dull down here in San Diego. I think I have a pretty good chance. 23 with little to no experience in the search engine world, my fingers are crossed.

Work... to be or not to be
Tuesday, March 22. 2005
I'm at a pivotal point in my journey through the road course of capitalism. Do I try and develop websites freelance, or find a job for the man? Basically since I've come out to San Diego I've been doing contract work for various people. My last contract job got a little complicated and ended two weeks ago. Since, I have become somewhat of a rambler (see attached photo). This episode was quickly followed by a trip to Vegas to see my father and the NASCAR race. It gave me a chance to clear my head and decide what to do next. I concluded that I could probably make a living doing this stuff on my own. Events of late have made me wonder...

A Year Later
Sunday, May 16. 2004
Wow.
It had been a wierd day, but sitting down to read all of those post from last year just made it a lot funnier. I've been having some pretty bad time management issues lately and I didn't know what to do so I just logged on and read pert-near everything.

Tough times
Friday, November 14. 2003
Yo dawg. I got a funny e-mail from Jenn Reissner the other day. She said that she had talked to you recently, then she said "I think New York is getting the best of him." I got a little chuckle out of it, but it also concerned me a little bit... a little bit worried about my dawg.
